The prescription ensures that the requested tests are relevant and appropriate to the patient's medical condition. By providing precise indications on the analyses to be performed, the prescription ensures clear communication between the prescribing physician and the laboratory, thereby minimizing the risks of errors or misunderstandings. Furthermore, it helps prioritize the analyses based on their urgency, which is essential for the rapid and effective care of patients.
The prescription must clearly indicate:
Prescription date
Prescriber's identification (name & surname and stamp)
Patient's name & surname
Requested analyses (legible)
Clinical information
It is possible to perform medical biology tests in our laboratory without a prescription, after prior agreement from our biologist physician. A request for a medical biology analysis will be signed by the patient upon admission to formalize their request. In this case, the tests will not be covered by Health Insurance or your mutual insurance, and will remain financially at your charge.
