Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Job Description

We are looking for a medical laboratory analysis technician to join our dynamic and dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biomedical analysis, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a demanding and constantly evolving environment.

Global Role

The laboratory technician plays a crucial role in our medical analysis laboratory. They are responsible for conducting various medical analyses and tests on biological samples to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This position directly contributes to our laboratory's mission of providing accurate and timely results to enhance patient care.

Main Responsibilities

- Reception and preparation of samples for testing.

- Conducting analyses according to established protocols and good laboratory practices.

- Validation and recording of results in the laboratory management system.

- Maintenance, quality control, and calibration of laboratory equipment.

- Compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

- Participation in quality programs.

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Technical Competence: Mastery of laboratory techniques, procedures, and equipment used for medical analyses.

2. Accuracy and Reliability: Ability to perform analyses with high precision and provide reliable and reproducible results.

3. Time Management: Efficiency in managing time to meet sample processing deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.

4. Team Spirit: Ability to collaborate with other team members and communicate effectively with them, as well as with physicians and healthcare professionals.

5. Adaptability and Proactivity: Ability to adapt to new technologies and work methods, and be proactive in improving laboratory processes and meeting quality program requirements.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Degree in medical laboratory analysis (professional degree or equivalent).

• Previous experience in a medical laboratory is advantageous (minimum 2 years).

• Knowledge of laboratory management software is a plus.

• Experience in blood sample extractions (adults and pediatrics) is advantageous.
