FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

What types of tests are performed in your laboratory?

We perform a wide range of medical tests, including analyses of all biological fluids (blood, urine, effusion fluids, biopsies, etc.).

Do I need to make an appointment for a test?

This depends on the type of test. For most common blood tests, an appointment is not necessary. However, for certain specialized tests or those requiring preparation, you will be informed about the time and methods of sample collection.

Do I need to fast for my tests?

Some blood tests require fasting, such as glucose, cholesterol, and triglyceride measurements. Generally, you should not eat or drink (except for water) for 8 to 12 hours before the blood draw. It is always recommended to check the instructions for each test in the online catalog - view the catalog.

How long does it take to get test results?

Most results are available within 2 to 24 hours for routine tests. For more specific or complex analyses, it may take several days. Timelines vary depending on the type of test. Urgent tests are prioritized.

How will I receive my results?

Results can be sent via secure email, accessed online through our results server, collected directly at the laboratory, or sent via WhatsApp. They are also forwarded to your prescribing physician.

Will my tests be reimbursed by health insurance?

Most tests are covered by health insurance, especially if prescribed by a physician. However, some specific tests may not be reimbursed or may require a co-payment.

What documents should I bring on the day of the test?

It is important to bring your prescription, your national identity card, and possibly additional information depending on the tests requested (current treatment, consent form, etc.).

Are there any risks or side effects associated with blood tests?

Blood draws are generally safe. You may experience slight pain or a bruise at the puncture site, but these effects are temporary. If you have coagulation issues or are taking anticoagulants, inform the staff before the draw.

Can I take my medications before a test?

This depends on the test being performed. Some medications may interfere with the results of certain analyses. It is advisable to follow your physician's recommendations or contact the laboratory if in doubt.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept payments by credit card, check, and cash.

What should I do if I cannot go to the laboratory for a sample?

We offer a home sampling service under all conditions. Please contact us to arrange a visit if you are unable to travel.
